The Dead Sea VFX

"The Dead Sea"
VFX Work

2022-2023, Houdini

After my first class in Houdini back in Fall 2022, I quickly utilized my new skills to jump right into the deep end of VFX. I took on various simulations for the film such as cloth, blood, slime, drool, and bubbles. Please enjoy this highlight reel of my simulation work on The Dead Sea!

Shockwave UI Script

2023, Autodesk Maya

After getting more comfortable with Python, I created a UI which creates a MASH network and allows you to control various attributes of its shockwave effect.

Based on the original MASH YouTube tutorial by Animator's Journey.

Forest Script

2023, Autodesk Maya

While learning how to convert MEL to Python, I created a script that creates a terrain, and then randomly places a select amount of low poly trees of various shapes and sizes all over to form a forest. This was an excellent learning experience for me and I will be using Python in the future to make procedural modeling and texturing.

Hair & Cloth Sim

2022, Houdini

This project was for my Hair and Cloth Simulation class which was taught entirely in Houdini. I modeled the clothing in Zbrush, textured it in Substance Painter, made the hair groom in Houdini, animated in Houdini, and rendered with Redshift.

Character model from Zbrush presets.

Biped Rig Demo

2021, Autodesk Maya

This is a demo reel of my most recent rigging project. Descriptions of the rig's features are included in this video.

Quadruped Rig

2021, Autodesk Maya

This project was for my Creature Rigging class. The rig includes stretchy IK legs via translate X, ribbon controls for each leg which include infinite twist and wire, IK/FK switch, and a stretchy spine via the "Awesome Spine" method.

Biped Rig Animation

2020, Autodesk Maya

This project was my first time extensively rigging a character. It was the final project for my introductory rigging class. Here is the animation I created in order to test the rig.
